'The Great' has not fought since losing the 145LB belt in a brutal knockout loss against Ilia Topuria on UFC 298 in February 2024.
Since then, 'El Matador' has given up his title, announced a switch to lightweight and plagued Big Fight News.

Alexander Volkanovski offered $ 1 million bet
On Friday Volkanovski and Lopes came for the first time face-to-face at a UFC 314 press conference.
Undercard hunters Bryce Mitchell and Jean Silva have somewhat stolen the show by limiting the stage in Las Vegas.
Volkanovski, however, had his moments when he sang to Lopes before he apparently set up his next fight.
Former two weight Bellator champion Patricio Freire will make his company debut on UFC 314.
'Pitbull' made his presence at the event by Volkanovski to remind us of a $ 1 million proposal that he did earlier.
“Listen, when I was in another organization, I made a bet with Volkanovski,” Freire said in Portuguese.
“I said:” A million dollars if you or I win. “
“I know we have fights, but maybe you want to keep that bet open?”
Volkanovski did not respond to the range of $ 1 million, but he welcomed a future fight with 'pit bull'.
“If you set up a good performance,” replied Aussie Fan's favorite.
“Like I said, I expect to defend my belt a few times this year.
“If you do it right, I'll see you.”

Alexander Volkanovski predicts UFC 313 Main Event
On Saturday evening, Alex Pereira and Magomed Ankalaev will fight for slightly heavyweight gold.
Israel Adesanya has publicly supported his old rival to spend Ankalaev on UFC 313.
Volkanovski has also shared his thoughts about the largest UFC fight of the year so far.

“I go with a favorite on this, Alex Pereira, Ko. I'm going with KO/TKO. I think it is always a fairly safe gamble with him … I don't think they will be early rounds. I may think that second or third round of TKO. “
