Magomed Ankalaev has given Alex Pereira a final warning while he prepares to challenge 'Patan's' light heavyweight throne on UFC 313.
Ankalaev is almost the favorite to dethen Pereira, making a well-rounded MMA skills with a heavy wrestling base and solid kickboxing. 'Big Ank' Jested that there will be 'no Chama' when he fights against Pereira on 8 March, and he continued this sentiment in a strict message at the ceremonial face-offs.

Ankalaev spoke at the UFC 313 ceremonial weighting and warned Pro-Goereira fans that they would be very disappointed with the result of Saturday evening.
“I'm going to eat this guy,” said Ankalaev. “All these people who are hunting me now, they will love me tomorrow.”

The UFC would not make you believe it, but since 2022 Ankalaev has been a viable competition for the light heavyweight throne. His fateful draw with Jan Bachowicz in their UFC 282 title fight destroyed Fanstiment, and he was pushed by the light heavyweight glove to earn another shot.
Ankalaev still had a rocky result by poking Johnny Walker in their UFC 294 fight. He revenge the result by turning out Walker in the Rematch, but was struck in a miraculous way by then-no. 8 ranged Khalil Rountree Jr. For the next title fight on UFC 307. Ankalaev fought and defeated Aleksandar Rakic on UFC 308, finally earning his second shot.
The common consensus is that the promotion Ankalaev has kept away from Pereira, who is one of their biggest cows. The 37-year-old Pereira has a shelf life, and they got the most out of him against favorable opposition in 2024. Now he is confronted with his first real stylistic disadvantage since he became a member of the UFC.
