Curtis Blaydes has tackled the reason why he had to withdraw from his fight at UFC 313.
The American was planned to return to the cage, in just a matter of hours, in the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada, USA.
While Blaydes confessed that he had to google his opponent, Rizvan Kuniev, before he accepted the fight, the match-up would still have given him the opportunity to bounce back after his first round defeat against Tom Aspinall in July.
Unfortunately, he will have to wait for his return to the Octagon, because he is brought down by a nasty disease.

Curtis Blaydes pulled himself from UFC 313, because of norovirus
In the winter months, Norovirus spread over the US, causing the bug violent attacks of vomiting, diarrhea and stomach cramps.
With that in mind, few would advise someone who struggles with it to put foot in a cage and fight.
Unfortunately, Curtis Blaydes confirmed that he indeed suffered Norovirus, and that is why he could not compete.
In a message that was uploaded to his Facebook page, the 34-year-old said: “Last night I fell ill with Norovirus. The night worked on to try to recover, but my body would not cooperate. Vecht is booked for a later date. Apologies to fans and my opponent, but we will have this fight very soon. “
Curtis Blaydes vs Rizvan Kuniev is not the only fight that UFC 313 has lost
Blaydes had compiled an impressive CV and was a good name to have on tonight's map.
That is why losing him was anything but ideal.
However, that is not the only problem that has had to deal with the most important mixed Martial Arts organization in the world.
Unfortunately, UFC 313 has lost another fight.
