Justin Gaethje vs Rafael Fiziev UFC 313 result: Fan favorites deliver in back-and-forth rematch at UFC 313

There was so much on the line when Justin Gaethje and Rafael Fiziev a rematch on UFC 313.

The lightweight duo previously fought for three chaotic rounds on UFC 286 in March 2023.

Justin Gaethje released a majority decisions gain before he won the BMF belt by eliminating Dustin Poirier.

However, things were different when the American fan's favorite met Rafael Fiziev for a second time after he was aware of 10 days informed of then Hooker was injured and withdrew from UFC 313.

Fiziev shocked everyone by deciding to struggle early. The talented striker scored two early branchedowns before he settled in a stand -up fight with Gaethje

'The highlight' occasionally landed Power -shots in the first round, but it was only in the second round that his fight with Fiziev was erect.

It seemed to be 1-1 with everything to play in the final round, where a revitalized FIZIV came out and threw large stairs to the head and body.

As De Ronde progressed, he seemed to call Buile and Gaethje to overcome a different decision on his rival.

In the end, all three of the jury members of Cageside scored the fight 29-28 in favor of Gaethje, who is now 2-0 against Fiziev.

What is the next step for Justin Gaethje?

Gaethje made it clear that he hoped that the beating of Fiziev on UFC 313 would lead to a lightweight title shot.

155LB King Islam Makhachev has a quick entry victory over Renato Moicano in January on UFC 311.

It is currently unclear who he will be confronted next time, because there is no obvious number one at lightweight.

Ilia Topuria is a potential option after he has recently left his featherweight title and has announced his relocation a division.

Only tell the time to see if he gets an immediate chance at Makhachev or if Gaethje has done enough to earn a third attempt at UFC Gold.
