Khabib Nurmagomedov has sent a congratulatory message to the new UFC Light Heavyweight Champion.
Magomed Ankalaev surpassed Alex Pereira over five rounds to take his title on UFC 313 on Saturday evening.
All three judges of Cageside had the fight in his favor, with 49-46, 48-47, 48-47 score cards.
The title win of Magomed Ankalaev continues the dominance of Russian hunters in the world of MMA.

Khabib Nurmagomedov is perhaps the most successful and dominant Russian hunter of all time.
'The Eagle' was delighted to see one of his countrymen enter his footsteps by winning gold at UFC 313.
“Congratulations brother, Magomed Ankalaev,” Nurmagomedov tweeted after the result was confirmed.

Magomed Ankalaev talks about UFC title profit
After he had wrapped the UFC strap around his waist by Dana White, Ankalaev said with Joe Rogan.
“I can't even put it into words,” he said.
“It has been such a long way, and here is my dream, it's on my waist.
Ankalaev added: “I don't think something surprised me.
“I think I could have done better in the fight, but something just didn't work.
“Anyway, I am really happy that I won.”
