Conor McGregor tipped to become wrestling star by UFC and WWE legend impressed by ‘IT factor’

Conor McGregor has the 'IT factor' that, according to Ken Shamrock, must be a WWE super star.

MMA fans will remember 'The World's Hangenerous Man' for his legendary 27-17-2 Run in the sport.

Ken Shamrock started as a professional wrestler before returning to the ring after his retirement in 2016 from MMA.

The 61-year-old, who is currently signed at WWE, is perfectly placed to choose the current UFC stars with crossover potential, and he thinks Conor McGregor has what is needed to be a great success in a new sport.

Conor McGregor Tipped for the success of WWE

McGregor comes at the end of his iconic MMA run, making him the largest UFC star ever.

When he has finished the sport, Shamrock believes that he can make the switch to pro wrestling.

The UFC Hall of Famer says that McGregor's personality could make him a huge WWE star.

“I don't care how much character they have in baseball, in basketball, in MMA, struggling is another beast,” Shamrock told Makthavare.se.

“It is a completely different beast. There is a lot of giving and taking, and often there is more than there is.

“You must have that character to be able to understand that this is the way it works, and you will not just come in and dominate the circuit.

“Unless of course you have that 'It' factor that will sell tickets or put a — in the chair. I know that Conor has that in MMA, and if he could switch over it, it would be sweet, but you don't know until it happens. “

What is the next step for Conor McGregor?

Conor McGregor has been sidelined since the breaking of his leg during a trilogy fight with Dustin Poirier on UFC 264 in July 2021.

'Notorious' has been completely suitable for a while, but it has difficulty in a pencil in a date for his MMA Comback.

Dana White originally claimed that his biggest star would return to the Octagon before the end of 2025 – but more recently the UFC boss did not support the first fight of McGregor in four years.

In the meantime, the Irishman has diverted his attention to the Bare Knuckle Fighting Championship.

The co-owner of BKFC recently shared images of him who train without gloves after he suggests that his bare boxing debut will certainly happen, it's just a matter of when.

“If you think that I am going to do these speeches here and these men will lead to the fight and I will not go into it myself, think about it again,” said McGregor during a recent BKFC press conference in Italy.

“I would like to be the bare Knuckle world champion. That is an important belt in your career. None of boxing or mixed martial arts cannot speak anything just on a bare knuckle -fighter championship world champion.

“So I would definitely be looking for the world title.”
