Justin Gaethje’s star teammate begs him to patch up one big flaw after UFC 313 win

UFC -Superster Justin Gaethje still has to make an enormous improvement after UFC 313, according to one of his top training partners.

Justin Gaethje proved that he is not ready to fight for UFC Gold with his triumphant show at UFC 313. Almost a whole year after a buzzing knock-out defeat against Max Holloway, Gaethje looked rejuvenated and so dangerous if he was ever in the outposit Fiz.

Gaethje, an old favorite of the UFC fan, is back in the lightweight title mix with his victory over UFC 313. He held on to his top 3 place in the ranking while he pursues a potentially third career at the lightweight championship.

But while Gaethje is preparing for a new run on the title, his former champion teammate now believes the moment to fill a considerable gap in his game.

Kamaru Usman is brutally honest about the marketability of Justin Gaethje after UFC 313

During a recent episode of the Podcast of Pound 4 Pound, former UFC champion Welterweight Kamaru Usman Gaethje asked for not promoting himself on the microphone.

“You sometimes have to sell yourself,” Usman said about Gaethje. “This is where you do it, because you are so much of an artist, you have to give them something to look forward to. This is what the WWE and 'The Rock' and these guys are doing so well.

'Justin, you have to do that a little better. But he is just so D – Honest, that's why I love that Frickin 'guy. (H/T MMA News)

Gaethje's fan-friendly style and 'mark' Moniker make him a UFC supersteratleet. But Gaethje rarely speaks waste conversations at press conferences or in the media and stood in the center of modest beef with a handful of hunters during his career.

Justin Gaethje focuses on Islam Makhachev, releases a trilogy after UFC 313

Gaethje could be the following in line for UFC Lightweight Champion Islam Makhachev after UFC 313. Makhachev is expected to return later this year after beating Renato Moicano on UFC 311.

UFC CEO Dana White endorsed Gaethje's business for a title shot after beating Fiziev. Ilia Topuria, Charles Oliveira and Arman Tsarukyan are also in the mix for the next title defense of Makhachev.

Gaethje admits that he needs a 'perfect' version to eliminate the pound-for-pound Koning Makhachev of the UFC. Interestingly, Gaethje and Makhachev share the same manager, which may affect combat interviews.

A potential matchup threw around after UFC 313 for Gaethje was a trilogy with Dustin Poirier. But Gaethje is not interested in looking at Poirier, and the rumor is that Poirier will be against Holloway later this year.

Regardless of who then fights Gaethje, it is certainly another controversial matchup. Before hanging the gloves, Gaethje does not give up his striving for UFC Gold to add to his Hall of Fame CV.
