Michael Chandler isn’t interested in revisiting Patricio Pitbull feud as UFC 314 showdown with Paddy Pimblett looms

UFC 314 sees the Octagon return to Miami with a huge map with two of the former faces of Bellator.

Michael Chandler has set his goals on Paddy Pimblett while the two light weights are preparing to collide in the Kaseya Center next month.

While 'Iron' Mike looks out the winning series 'The Baddy', earlier in the night, a new face will introduce itself to the UFC fans.

Patricio Pitbull will face Yair Rodriguez on his featherweight debut after saying goodbye to ways with the PFL in recent months.

The two former Bellator stars that shared the stage at the recent press conference have history with Pitbull that Chandler stopped in the first round to avenge his brother in 2019.

Michael Chandler is not interested in rule his feud with Patricio Pitbull

After beating Patricky Pitbull through a decision in 2011 to win the Bellator Lightweight Tournament, Michael Chandler made an explanation in their Rematch.

They fought for the empty lightweight title in 2016, where 'Iron' Mike unleashed a patented fast ball right hand to produce one of the most devastating finishes of his entire career.

At Bellator 221 three years later, Chandler would face Patricio Patricio Patricky's younger brother, who would go to light to try to become a world champion with two weight.

The featherweight title holder caught the defending champion with a right hand to the top of the head and stopped Chandler in just over a minute to achieve one of the biggest victories of his career.

While Pitbull on the UFC 314 press conference said they could meet somewhere along the line, Chandler outlined in a recent interview with Shakiel Mahjouri that this is not interesting for him.

“Yes, not interested in ordering something man again. I am not a man trying to get something back and I am not a kind of man who likes hostility. Of course I eliminated his brother almost twice, certainly once pretty bad for him. ”

Chandler continued to say that he believes that his feud with Patricio will come from a misunderstanding where something was lost in translation.

With that in mind, he said that he can even bury the hatchet with his former opponent if he got the chance at UFC 314 next month.

“I think there was a miscommunication with the language barrier. I said something about family because of his brother and then I think that as a mother, wife, sister, brother, children and such and I think it is blown out of proportion to be honest with you, but with that said man, I wish him the best in the UFC. I want him to come by and do it well.

“He is a 145 person, I am a 155 person, I am not interested in fighting Patricio Pitbull, but it will be interesting to share the same card with him and when I see him, I will respectfully shake his hand, I can even apologize for miscommunication in the past. Let's let the Bygones beat, you don't have to spend any of your energy on me. Focus on trying to become the featherweight champion of the UFC. ”

Michael Chandler now has his own priorities

As Michael Chandler stated, Patricio Pitbull has his own featherweight targets to concentrate now and the same applies to the former lightweight title -Plager.

Although he has only lost the very best opponents at 155 pounds, this is the first time in a while that the 38-year-old is opposed to a hunter who climbs the ranking and takes his place.

Chandler said in the same interview that a loss for Paddy Pimblett will not determine on 12 April whether he is hanging the gloves or not, but it can indicate the end of his career as the top 155-ponder.

That saying, if he adds a one-punch knockout at his peak reel, given that he will probably have a WWE style promo that is ready to tear the microphone, Chandler will immediately be back in the mix.
