Mason Mount has returned to the first team training in Manchester United Prior to the Europa League collision with Real Sociedad in Old Trafford on Thursday evening.
Mount has been absent since the Manchester Derby in mid-December after the last setback in an injury hit career at United since he came to Chelsea for £ 60 million in the summer of 2023.
But after missing the last 19 games in front of Ruben Amorim, Mount was returned on Wednesday morning with his teammates at Carrington when United prepared for the second stage against Sociedad. The teams are level on 1-1 in the last 16 draw after last week's first stage in San Sebastian.
The 26-year-old is one of a number of United Payers who have been out of operation with Amad Diallo and Lisandro Martinez who would miss the rest of the season and Kobbie Mainoo, Harry Maguire, Manuel Ugarte, Luke Shaw, Altay Bayindir and Jonny Evans all on the Sidelines.
Speaking for last weekend's draw with Arsenal, Amorim predicted the comeback of Mount as he said: “Kobbie can return. Maguire, we must be careful. Manu will return.
'I think Luke Shaw and Mason Mount can also return. They will definitely return, especially Mason Mount. '
