Former international in France Jeremy Menez was reportedly asked to leave Anfield last night for supporting Paris Saint-Germain against Liverpool on Tuesday.
The 37-year-old traveled to England to see how his ex-club confronted the side of Arne Slot opposite a place in the quarter-finals of the Champions League.
PSG followed 1-0 aggregated prior to the game, but Ousmane Dembele brought things to Anfield after just 12 minutes.
The two teams could not be separated after 120 minutes and the game went to penalties, where the Parisians prevailed.
However, Menez would have missed the winning moment after he had been kicked out of the stadium.
Former Premier League -midfielder Samir Nasri told the French TV channel Canal Plus: “A thought for those who were also kicked out of the stadium.
“Jeremy Menez was at the game, he was asked if he was French. After his answer they told him to leave the stadium … no less in the 70th minute!”
Menez made 110 performances for PSG for three years during his professional gaming career.

After Tuesday's last 16 collision, PSG boss Luis Enrique said: “Both teams deserve to go to the next phase.
“They play better than we here, but I think my team in Anfield, in a special stadium, showed great personality and character.
“We tried to play our best, but it was difficult because they are so intense. Both teams deserve to qualify.
“The character and personality, even when we shoot at the penalty shootout, they showed a great character. I think it clearly shows the team that we are.”
