La Real travel for Man Utd clash without key midfielder and with major doubt

Real Sociedad is on its way to England for their Europa League Second Leg collision with Manchester United, but did not travel with one of their most important players. The Croatian midfielder Luka Sucic has made Mikel Merino his own starting place this season since he arrived from RB Salzburg, but Imanol Alguacil will have to come up with an alternative on Thursday evening.

Sucic has muscle discomfort in his right leg and did not travel, as reported by Marca, where the club prefers him to recover at home. They have defender Aritz Elustondo back after the suspension had kept him out of their League defeat against Seville during the weekend. Otherwise, Alguacil can for the most part draw up without considering injuries or suspensions.

However, a decision that will be at the last minute is right back Jon Aramburu, who has become the usual choice in the light of Hamari Traore's cruciate ligament injury earlier in the season. Aramburu left the field on Sunday, but at least with Traore there is a natural replacement.

Manchester United has enough injury problems, with doubts about the availability of Harry Maguire and Leny Yoro. Ruben Amorim will be without Mason Mount, Lisandro Martinez, Luke Shaw, Kobbie Mainoo and Amad Diallo.

The draw is on 1-1 of the first stage, when a Mikel Oyarzabal penalty made the opener of Joshua Zirkzee right. While the Red Devils dominated more of the game, the final phases belonged to the Txuri Urdin and Orri Oskarsson had two chances to win it for the Basque side. In the weekend, United Arsenal held a 1-1 draw, while Real Sociedad suffered a disappointing 1-0 defeat against Seville at home, they the players resting for this collision.
