After several promising impressions three seasons ago, the talented 20-year-old Nico Paz disappeared from the map for Real Madrid and spent last season with Castilla. However, since he moved to Serie A, Paz has gone into force with Como and he has earned a call-up for the Argentina team.
This season, Paz, who moved only € 6 million from Real Madrid in the summer, scored six goals and helped five in his 26 performances, which led the creative tasks for CESC Fabregas in Lombardy. That has led to a number of links to Arsenal and Inter, but Real Madrid retains a return option of € 9 million at Paz.
Last month it was reported that Real Madrid is planning to exercise that option on Paz, although they still have to decide whether he will stay with the first team or whether he would be sold with a profit. They also have a sale of 50% in his deal with Como.
Rumors about a move to Inter, however, went into overdrive during the weekend, after Paz's father had a meeting with Nerazzurri Vice-President Javier Zanetti in a restaurant. It should be noted that Pablo Paz once played with Zanetti for Argentina.
