Rooney insists Man Utd need ‘massive changes’ and pitches drastic squad overhaul

Legend Wayne Rooney of Manchester United has claimed that his former side must make 'massive changes' for the club to breathe new life into her fortune after he suggests that there is 'no way back' for the current team.

Rooney made the statement after the co-owner of Man United Sir Jim Ratcliffe commented comments about the quality of the current team.

In a round of interviews on Monday, Ratcliffe claimed that part of the current team 'paid too much and not good enough'.

The Ineos millionaire has selected Jadon Sancho, Rasmus Hojlund, Casemiro, Antony and Andre Onana, after he admitted that man United still owed money for the signing sessions of big money.

Ratcliffe's comments are supplied with Man United in 14th place in the Premier League, with their season for success in the Europa League.

Rooney, Man United's recordcorer, had sympathy for the position of Ratcliffe, because he suggested that there was 'no way back' for the current team.

Rooney spoke on the stick to the football podcast, offered by Sky Bet and claimed that between 10 and 15 players had to leave to change the mentality at the club.

'No, I don't think so [if there is a way back for the current squad]They look lost, they look afraid, “said Rooney.

'Bruno [Fernandes] Is the one who continues to produce, he sometimes annoys you but continues to produce.

'They need huge changes in the team, I think 10-15 players should leave the club. It is clear that they cannot do that, but there is a mentality where nobody takes responsibility [in the squad].

'I would keep Bruno and [Kobbie] Mainoo.

'There is a culture in the club where it is too easy to lose games and the players come out and say:' on the next ', and all that nonsense. Just show a character and fight on the field.

“It's bad to look, it hurts. If I come from Liverpool only so many years at United, I want the team to do well, I have my children in the academy and it hurts to view them. '

Man United boss Ruben Amorim admitted the Crunch Europa League Last-16 second stage of the club with Real Sociedad that suppresses his team.

Amorim gave his players a challenge to incorrectly prove Ratcliffe after his brutal assessment of the team.

“I think if we are honest at the moment, everyone, all of the players this season will not perform,” said Amorim. 'So we can always change that, and I include myself in that part of the under performance.

'For example, you are talking about players such as Casemiro, who have won everything and we know that these kinds of players can play so much better. That is the focus.

“He was honest about that. The focus is to change thoughts and change all people of thoughts.

'I think it's the right way to do it if you are a top player in this club, even me. Many people say that I am not good enough for the club.

'My feeling is that you can change that with results. In training I have the feeling that they really want this, especially for tomorrow. '

Asked if the players came to him about the issue, he added, “No, I had nothing.”
