Guardiola thinks incoming Arsenal chief’s ‘prime £60m target’ is ‘exceptional’

Pep Guardiola has previously announced Newcastle United -midfielder and reported £ 60 million Arsenal Transfer -Surely White Bruno Guimaraes as “Exceptional”.

Now their Premier League title findings seems to have been interrupted, the Gunners look ahead to further strengthen their team. The side of Mikel Arteta already sees in the holes of Real Sociedad's Spanish midfield Maestro Martin Zubimendi, reportedly with the personal conditions with the winner of the Euro 2024.

But with the contracts of both Jorginho and Thomas Partey who end at the end of the season, incoming sports director Andrea Berta would also like to bring guimaraes to the Emirates Stadium. It is claimed that there is an agreement with Newcastle that he can leave for £ 60 million if they do not qualify for the Champions League.

When the Brazilian international arrives in North Londs, this would probably be a source of frustration for Guardiola, because he manages the South America high. Last year, before City's FA Cup collision against Newcastle, Guardiola said: “He is an exceptional detention -holding midfielder. He is aggressive, with the ball or without the ball.

“With set pieces he is aggressive and he has been a real, complete midfielder since he has been with Lyon and now in a club that wants to grow up more and more. I am sure he will be part of the project in the coming years. Absolutely.”

Three years later he stays central in the operation of the Magpies and has earned 28 international caps for Brazil since he came to Newcastle. When asked about his future by Sky Sports last year, the 27-year-old said: “Sometimes people talk a lot about me, I just think about football.

“I am happy here, in this club that does my best. I love the way the fans like me so I concentrate on my football and let people speak. Sometimes (people speak about Newcastle leaves). I am very happy here, enjoy it a lot.

“I have never felt so much love for the fans like here. They have been incredible to me and my family, so I try to play for fans. So I hope I can continue here for as long as possible.”

Berta would certainly get himself on the right side of Arsenal fans if he could sign Guimaraes shortly after arrival. The Italian, who was previously from Atletico Madrid, has reached an agreement to replace Arsenal Sporting Director Edu, who resigned in November.

He has an impressive track record of securing top class players, after he has managed Atletic's signing of Julian Alvarez from Manchester City, as well as bargain purchases such as Benfica Jan Oblak for £ 3.4 million and Rodri from Villarreal for £ 21 million.

Although many Gunners' fans want to concentrate on signing a striker, their Primacy -Focus is clear when they look to lose Jorginho and Pedey, so that they only have declan rice and summer arrival Mikel Merino as Orthodox defensive midfield options.
