The successful Champions League round of Paris Saint-Germain of 16 qualification against Liverpool feels an important turning point for fortunes of Les Parisiens in European competition.
After they have eliminated the side of the Premier League, Luis Enrique and his men are one of the favorites to go completely this season. According to a report from L'équipe, Les Parisiens could earn a jackpot of a maximum of € 144.5 million if they win the Champions League this season – a record in UEFA competitions. This is partly due to the deal of Omroep Canal+with French clubs in the continental scene. The historic broadcaster of French football pays € 480 million annually for the exclusive rights to the Champions League, Europa League and Conference League until 2027. PSG receives by far the Lions share even before the start of the competition with a windfall of € 63.35 million. Les Parisiens then benefits from a participation bonus of € 18.62 million, as well as € 11.07 million only for their record. After reaching the knockout play-off round, PSG had already achieved in € 80.91 million. Since then they have received a bonus for the round of 16 for € 11 million and then another € 12.5 million for qualifying at the quarterfinals. The sale of ticket would be added if Les Rouges et Bleu reached the final in Munich, including eight sold -out competitions at the Parc Des Principes. And eliminated last night by German Giants Borussia Dortmund.
