In the main event of UFC Fight Night 46 in the 3arena in Dublin, Conor McGregor achieved his third consecutive victory in the Octagon when he stopped Diego Brandao in the first round.
It was the seventh outing of the Brazilian in the UFC after he had submitted Dennis Bermudez to win season 14 of the Ultimate Fighter as part of the Michael Bisping team.
The dangerous Fight Finisher went 6-4 in the UFC before he was released from his contract in April 2016, but since then he has been active active.

The UFC leaving with a record of 20-11, Brandao is now 30-22 with his career after the UFC, including a six-fighter loss line in Russian promotion ACA.
In his recent return to participation in MMA on American soil, however, the 37-year-old fans reminded what made him so exciting during his Stint in the UFC.
Brandao faced 12-2 Jamie Siraj in the main event of Tuff-N-Up 142 in Las Vegas, while the featherweight champion of the promotion wanted to add an octagonal veteran to his record.
After he entered the cage that the adjusted UFC shorts of Alex Pereira had worn that can be seen in a number of Highlight Reel Knockouts in 2024, Brandao produced which is probably one of the very best of 2025.
After a right body kick, the challenger turned and landed a clean -rotating wheel shovel with his left leg to dethronize the champion in the opening round.

Not only would the intensity of the Brazilian worry for an entertaining build for the fight that only raised the excitement, his incredibly aggressive style played straight in the hands of the sharp and composed McGregor.

His loss against 'The Notorious' marked back-to-back first round losses for Brandao who had previously stopped the fight by Dustin Poirier.
In his last Octagon, he served by Brian Ortega in the third round at UFC 195 before traveling the world to compete elsewhere.
