Reportedly, Barcelona has “real” interest in Liverpool Vooruit Luis Diaz, where the Reds are confronted with a transfer conundrum because they run the risk of losing a large number of their best attackers.
The Colombian is fantastic for the Reds since his relocation of FC Porto in 2022 and scored 37 times in 139 performances, although there is a fear that the club could lose him.
Diaz would not be closer to signing a new deal – with his current contract that ends in just over two years – and Barcelona are waiting in the wings to pounce, according to athletics.
Liverpool is already confronted with a difficult contracting situation that arrives this summer, knowing that they probably lose Mohamed Salah, Trent Alexander-Arnold and Virgil van Dijk on free transfers, with negotiations on a stalemate if things stand.
The club will be desperate to prevent a similar situation from crawling on them in the future, so that they can now be tempted to cash in Diaz before they lose him for nothing.
Diaz will be in the thirty by the time his deal ends, so Liverpool could be willing to accept an offer, especially in view of the fact that they have other attackers such as Diogo Jota, Federico Chiesa, Cody Gakpo and Darwin Nunez at their disposal.
With Salah, which is expected to leave for a free transfer and with transfer interest in Nunez, Slot could be treated the dilemma or that he cashed Diaz and Nunez – in addition to losing Salah.
Liverpool is clearly at the top of the Premier League and look nailed to win the title, but ending will be cautious to lose too much of his core group players who help the team to make success immediately under his leadership.
Diaz himself had a fantastic season among the Dutchman, scored 13 goals and assists four in all competitions.
It is claimed that Liverpool has drawn up “a number of options” in case they lose a few attackers in the summer, with Anthony Gordon from Newcastle linked to a move in the past.
However, the former Everton star has just signed a new St James' park deal in October, so every movement for the 24-year-old looks unlikely.
