Man Utd in double transfer blow as Chelsea hijack has unwanted ripple effect

Manchester United may have had a double blow after Chelsea defeated them for the signing of Sporting Star Geovany Quenda.

Quenda was strongly connected to a possible move to Old Trafford, which would have been reunited with former sporting boss Ruben Amorim. However, the 17-year-old winger has agreed to become a member of Chelsea instead and will stay with Sporting until July 2026.

Chelsea continues to spend on some of the most promising young players in the world, whereby the athletics claims that they consider Quenda as one of the 'top three Wingers under 23 in the world', together with Barcelona Superstar Lamine Yamal and incoming Estevao Willian.

Although Quenda will not come to Chelsea until 2026, the deal can have a domino effect on their plans for Jadon Sancho. Sancho joined the United Club last summer, with a clause that will see him permanently in the summer, provided that they end up 14th or higher.

However, reports have claimed that there is a Maas in the law with which Chelsea can decrease the deal for a 'considerable fine'. Chelsea would like five Wingers in their team and currently have four senior options.

With Estevao Willian comes in when he will be 18 next summer, graduated from Academy, breaks Tyrique George and Quenda ready to make the move in 2026 the blues can decide not to sign Sancho.

The move is also complicated by the fact that Chelsea has not yet agreed personal conditions with Sancho. Blues -Baas Enzo Maresca, however, has praised the contributions of the winger this season.

“For me he is doing very well,” Maresca said earlier in the campaign. “I am quite surprised with Jadon, because I already knew Jadon [from seeing him at his previous clubs] And I know what I expected from him, but in terms of being consistent, he is doing very well.

“Apart from a short part of the season when he had some problems, when he was sick, then he was very good for the rest. I expected that he would do well, but for all players who do well for a long period, it is not easy, and he has been doing well for a long period. He is doing well, now he just has to stay that way.”
