Stuttgart 3-4 Leverkusen: Schick’s last-gasp goal seals an epic comeback

Working itself turned the game around after a bad first half and rightly earned three points with a last-minute strike by Patrik Schick.

The hosts were clinically with their first decent attacking action of the game: Lukas Hradecky was able to parry a powerful shot by Jamie Lebeling, but could not prevent Ermededin Demirovic from turning the rebound up close (15 '). On the other hand, five minutes later Patrik Schick had the best chance for Leverkusen, but he was unable to find in the target. The work had more possession in this phase of the game, but missed in front of penetration. Hradecky drew an impressive storage in added time to keep Enzo Millot (45+1 ') out. The peace followed quickly.

The second half started with another blow for work: Nick Woltemade completed a VFB opposition with a goal to bring the score to 2-0 (48 '). The champions wanted to win – and were rewarded for their efforts. Boniface broke in the box on the left and only crossed for Stuttgart -defender Angelo Stiller to turn the ball into his own net into an attempt to erase. 3-3. And the Black and Reds kept pushing ahead: Schick scored late in extra time with a header of a Frimpong cross to bring the score to 4-3 (90+4 ')-and that marked the start of the Leverkusen last-minute party.
