Fans of Newcastle have taken over Covent Garden for a second consecutive night while celebrating the success of Carabao Cup.
The Toon Army hit the streets in both the capital and back in the northeast after the historic 2-1 victory over Liverpool.
Dan Burn and Alexander Isak were on goal for the men of Eddie Howe in the house of football.
Newcastle survived a late fear after Federico Chiesa had brought a consolation in a stop time.
It gave the tone their first domestic trophy in 70 years.
There were scenes of jubilation in the changing rooms when Burn dancing among the players led.
And the beer quickly flowed among supporters while unbelieving fans entered the center of London to celebrate.
Fans were seen climbing and singing only a few hours after Gary Neville called for a “Geordie Bank Holiday” every week.
Proponents who had not been able to get to the south gathered around St James Park.
Thousands flowed to the ground after the last whistle, with videos that went viral from supporters celebrating over the statue of Alan Shearer.
Newcastle fans had traveled in large numbers before Sunday's game.
They took central parts of the capital on Saturday evening, illuminated torches and suping up for the big competition.
Boss Howe admitted that the opportunity was better for him after his team had achieved a first trophy since 1955.
The 47-year-old is the first Englishman since Harry Redknapp in 2008 to lift large silverware.
Howe, those tears back, said: “We were well aware of the history and we wanted to make the club proud.
“We wanted to score, we wanted to perform and we wanted to win.
“We are breaking new terrain, I thought we were beautiful.
“We knew what was at stake today for all our fans, we wanted to do them proudly and win the trophy.
“I am so happy with the result and the performance – we deserved to win today.
“It was difficult when Liverpool scored. I thought of extra time, we always make it difficult for ourselves, it would never be 2-0.”
Goal Hero Burn will participate with England for the first time on Monday.
He admitted: “I don't want to go to sleep because I have the feeling that I am dreaming.
“As soon as I led it, I knew it was in it. I don't get much, so at least I made it for a great occasion.
“I feel strange at the minute. It's hard to put into words.”
