Paddy Pimblett outrageously claims UFC world champion Ilia Topuria made his name off years-old feud

UFC star Paddy Pimblett made a daring claim about the rapid climb of Ilia Topuria to star.

Paddy Pimblett and Ilia Topuria may be on a collision course in the lightweight division. Three years after their notorious hotel, Pimblett and Topuria now share the same weight class after Topuria announced a switch from featherweight to lightweight last year.

Pimblett is confronted with the most difficult test of his UFC career against Michael Chandler on UFC 314. A victory may possibly raise its stock and put it straight in the title mix.

Pimblett and Topuria have a vuited history and cultivated a near-brawl at the UFC 282 pre-Fight press conference. Despite the flawless success of Topuria since then, Pimblett does not believe that Topuria would be at the level where he is without it falling under his skin.

Paddy Pimblett: Ilia Topuria's Meteoric Rise is through me

In a recent interview with Jamal Niaz, Pimblett claimed that he is responsible for the UFC success of Topuria.

“I am tired of talking about Topuria, he is an absolute helmet. He would not be where he is in the UFC without jumping on the back of my name, “Pimblett said about Topuria. “So yes, I want to take that beef one day, but we will see if he performed.”

Pimblett was then asked about his approach for a potential fight with Topuria.

“Do battles styles. No one he fought would do what I would do with him, “said Pimblett. “Everyone tries to have a boxing match with him, and they all failed. I would not come out and just with him box, I am not an idiot. “

Topuria smelled Max Holloway from what his last featherweight title defense was on UFC 308 in October. After leaving the belt of featherweight, Alexander Volkanovski and Diego Lopes will fight for the title on UFC 314 and share a card with Pimblett.

Paddy Pimblett chose a surprise name for the next title Challenger from Islam Makhachev

Topuria may be UFC lightweight champion Islam Makhachev's next opponent, but it is not certain, according to UFC CEO Dana White. Pimblett also asked Topuria and received an immediate title shot against Makhachev and the side of another interesting option.

Despite the withdrawal of Arman Tsarukyan on the short time on UFC 311, Pimblett believes that he deserves the next shot in the belt of Makhachev. But Tsarukyan will probably have to win at least one fight before he makes the business for a title shot according to White and the matchmakers.

Justin Gaethje is another potential option for Makhachev after his victory over UFC 313. Tsarukyan called Gaethje for a no. 1 candidate fight, contradicting Gaethje's title shot.

Regardless of the next lightweight title fight and the next booking from Topuria, Pimblett vs. Topuria comes closer than ever when it comes out. If Pimblett is the victory over UFC 314, don't be surprised if his callout is after the fight.
