Conor McGregor baffles fans by taking over White House press briefing during St Patrick’s Day celebration

Conor McGregor was a surprise guest this afternoon in the press release of the White House Press, and even went to the stage to give its own Q&A.

The former Two-Wight UFC world champion is in Washington DC to visit President Donald Trump. Last week the president complimented his tattoos and fighting style as he met the Irish Taoiseach (Prime Minister) Micheál Martin, and they are now gathering to celebrate St Patrick's Day.

Although McGregor can be seen as the newest in a series of athletes and celebrities that appear in the White House, he regards it as serious things. He has pushed strongly to his own presidential run in his native Ireland, with elections that are expected this year.

While he prepares for his own run on Irish presidency, Conor McGregor went to Washington, DC for a meeting with President Donald Trump of the United States. He arrived in the White House where he met press secretary Karoline Leavitt.

During the arrival in the press release room in the famous American building, the media immediately peppered the UFC star with questions. And in a surprising movement, he actually chose to give answers and took it over with his own mini briefing.

Eventually Leavitt had to intervene and remind the media that this was an official visit. She noted that later she will give more details about the meeting between McGregor and President Trump during a briefing of herself.

Conor McGregor's UFC -COMEBACK seems further away than ever

Fans on social media left this visit in astonishment and probably also sees his comeback to the Octagon deviation further and further away. The Irishman has been out of effect since a stop loss for Dustin Poirier in their July 2021 trilogy, and last summer withdrew from a fight with Michael Chandler.

Since then he has become an important player in BKFC as a co-owner at David Feldman, and regularly promotes shows by teasing a final fight. However, he still has two UFC fights on his contract, and if a run were successful for President in Ireland, the end of his days could spell.

McGregor wrote this morning for the meeting on Instagram and emphasized the importance of his meeting with Trump and said: “I land briefly in Washington for the most important meeting of my countries [sic] future. I am more than ready. The world will hear the call from Ireland! “
