UFC star Michael Chandler was brutally honest about the chances of a Conor McGregor -Comeback prior to UFC 314.
Michael Chandler and Conor McGregor were expected to collide after they had coached each other on the Ultimate Fighter 31. But two years after they first met on the set for the first time, a fight still has to blossom despite Chandler's long wait for McGregor.
Chandler will be confronted against Paddy Pimblett next month in the UFC 314 Co-Main event in Miami. He returns to the Octagon after he had fallen to Charles Oliveira on UFC 309 in November on UFC 309, after a few years of waiting for McGregor to return to the Octagon.
Chandler and McGregor would fight in the UFC 303 last June before McGregor pulled himself into the week after the injury. McGregor remains set aside for an indefinite period and a timeline for a potential return remains foggy.

Michael Chandler admits that he would not bet on the MMA referee of Conor McGregor
In the midst of the current interruption of McGregor, Chandler is becoming more faithful in getting the fight he has waited for years to come to reality.
During a recent interview with MMA Fighting, Chandler expressed his last position on McGregor's potential UFC -Comback.
'In my heart of hearts, yes [he comes back]”Said Chandler about McGregor.” Because I think he wants to fight. He does not want to finish his fighting inheritance as he did. His last fight was to break his leg against Dustin Poirier and then to praise the biggest comeback in combat sport history and then to do the ultimate hunter and then sign to combat me and then with an injury. That is my heart of hearts.
“Now my mind, if you are a gokman, is Conor coming back? (H/t MMA Fighting)
McGregor has not fought in the Octagon since a loss of trilogy for Dustin Poirier on UFC 264. In recent months, McGregor has plagued a return to boxing and was briefly in conversation to face Logan Paul before the negotiations fell apart.
Chandler's fight with Oliveira was his first since a UFC 281 defeat against Poirier. Many doubted Chandler's decision to wait for McGregor and wasted two valuable years of his career.
Conor McGregor was invited to the White House for St. Patrick's Day
In the midst of speculation about a potential comeback, McGregor made the headlines on Monday when he appeared in the White House for a St. Patrick's Day meeting with US President Donald Trump.
McGregor has become increasingly active in politics in recent months, especially in Ireland. He attended Trump's inauguration in January and joined the Paul Brothers and other UFC colleagues.
Despite almost four years away from fighting, McGregor remains a top name in combat sports. UFC CEO Dana White, in his most recent update on the return of McGregor, focused on a comeback fight before the end of the year.
Chandler remains in a hot chase of McGregor, but the same cannot be said for McGregor's side of the aisle. In the meantime, we will continue to wait for the long-awaited comeback of the UFC legend.
