Van Dijk favours MLS free transfer as Liverpool eye move for €60m Dortmund CB

Virgil van Dijk (33) is increasingly leaning at an exit in Liverpool as his contract ends in June, according to Sacha Tavolieri.

The Dutch Center-Back is said to be of the opinion that his time has finished with the Merseyside Giants. Van Dijk joined Liverpool from Southampton in a record setting of € 84 million transfer during the 2018 winter transfer window. He then settled as one of the best center backs in the Premier League era.

Van Dijk reportedly sees a final performance in a foreign club for the forever hung his boots. As reported by L'Equipe, Dutch skipper has a lucrative offer of € 20 million a year on the table of Saudi Pro League Side al-Hilal. Van Dijk prefers a movement about the Atlantic Ocean and in the MLS. Tavolieri adds that the good friend of Van Dijk playmaker of Manchester City Kevin De Bruyne is planning to participate in America's first transfer in June in June.

In the aftermath of the exit of Liverpool from the Champions League at the expense of PSG, Van Dijk was seen in conversation with Nasser Al-Khelaifi and sports adviser Luis Campos. Tavolieri understands that there was no further discussion between PSG and Van Dijk, although the Dutch International may have used the moment to indicate his upcoming availability in the summer. Regarding contract renewal, there seems to be no deal on the horizon between the owners of Liverpool and the UEFA player of the year 2019.

With Van Dijk on the way to the exit and the future of Ibrahima Konaté in the air, Liverpool Borussia Dortmund Center-back Nico Schlotterbeck has added to their wish list. The 25-year-old Germany International is connected to the Schwarlzgelben during a contract that expires in 2027. Bvb reportedly set an asking price of € 60 million on Schlotterbeck, but LFC is of the opinion that they can reach an agreement on transfer costs near the number of € 50 million.
