Undefeated fighter who begged Dana White for a fight at UFC press conference gets big opportunity on Dana White Lookin’ for a Fight

Last October, during the UFC 308 pre-fight press conference, an unsigned prospect from Tajikistan stepped up to the microphone and begged Dana White for a chance to fight in the UFC.

As Dana White's Contender Series continues to grow into one of the UFC's most prolific products for unsigned competitors, more and more fighters are beginning to ask for opportunities in the promotion.

However, with the Contender Series only happening eight weeks out of the year, the UFC CEO continues to look for talent from the regional scene with Dana White's Lookin' for a Fight.

Fighter begged Dana White for a UFC opportunity at the UFC 308 press conference

Earlier this October, at the blockbuster UFC 308 event in Abu Dhabi, at the press conference days after fight night, an unsigned fighter walked up to the microphone and took his shot with White.

Dorobsho Nabotov started by reading his credentials to the UFC boss and then begged for a chance with the UFC.

The 25-year-old is currently undefeated at lightweight as a professional, having competed on the regional stage in Russia with four decisions, three KOs and one submission.

White asked the Tajik where he had been during the filming of the Contender Series and it seemed like he would decline his request.

Despite this, the UFC boss called the 25-year-old onto the stage and started talking to him briefly before sending him backstage to wait for him.

Dorobsho Nabotov will appear in Dana White's Lookin' for a Fight

One of the products of the UFC that fans universally love is Dana White Lookin' for a Fight. The premise of the show is that White, Matt Serra and Din Thomas go to a regional MMA show to try to scout the next crop of talent.

Current UFC bantamweight champion Merab Dvalishvili is the highest-profile name signed from the show after knocking out former Bellator champion Raufeon Stots in the first 15 seconds of their Ring of Combat 59 main event.

Earlier this week it was announced that Nabotov will get his shot at a UFC contract, taking on Matheus Camilo on ZFN on December 14.

Dana White and his team will be at the second ZFN event on December 14, where they will film a new episode of Dana White's Lookin' for a Fight.
