
UFC -Superster Conor McGregor visited the White House for a St. Patrick's Day meeting with US President Donald Trump.
Conor McGregor can be almost four full years away from his last UFC fight, but he will remain a global celebrity in 2025. This week McGregor was invited to the White House by US President Donald Trump, and the two parties shared an extremely cordial meeting.
Trump met Irish politicians last weekend and praised the hunters of the nation, in particular McGregor, during a press conference. McGregor was not long to recognize the greeting of the US president, who responded in a post on social media.
Days later, McGregor Voet joined the White House for a St. Patrick's Day meeting with the 47th US President. McGregor met Trump to discuss his concerns about Irish politics, in particular illegal migration and other issues.

After the surprising performance by McGregor at a press conference of the White House, McGregor and Trump came eye to the eye in the Oval Office. Trump, an avid UFC fan, welcomed the UFC -Superster with open arms, despite the fact that he held one of McGregor's heated rivals, Khabib Nurmagomedov, in high respect.
McGregor is far from the only top UFC hunter that Trump loves. UFC Heavyweight Champion Jones had Trump Octagonide for his victory over Stipe Miocic at UFC 309 and was later invited to the American presidential inauguration in January.
UFC CEO Dana White and Trump share a close friendship, which return to Trump that organizes various early UFC events in its resorts after White had bought the promotion. The events hosted by Trump helped at a time when the future of the UFC was extremely cloudy.
“Congratulations, your work ethic is inspiring,” McGregor told Trump in the clip above. To which Trump seemed to respond: “Yours is too, you are fantastic!”.
Trump attends different UFC events every year, especially for fighting with one of his greatest fans, Colby Covington. Trump attended Covington's loss at Leon Edwards for the UFC Welterweight title on UFC 296.
Conor McGregor's UFC -Terugkeer remains uncertain for four years since his last fight
As far as McGregor is concerned, he did not fight in MMA since he injured his leg against Dustin Poirier on UFC 264. He was supposed to head UFC 303 to Michael Chandler last June before he withdrew due to an injury.
McGregor was in short conversations with Logan Paul in a boxing match this year before the UFC Brass boomed negotiations. In the most recent White update on the return of McGregor, he focused somewhere at the end of 2025 on the comeback fight of the Irish superstar.
If McGregor follows his proposed return to the Octagon, there is no shortage of potential opponents to face him. Chandler is the most likely option after the two faced each other on the Ultimate Fighter 31.
