Bayern Munich 0-2 Lyon: Visitors put one foot in the semi-final

Lyon took a huge step in the direction of the semi-final qualifying of the Champions League after a 2-0 win away to Bayern Munich on Tuesday.

The record eight times European champions traveled to the second place in group C for the first stage of their quarter -final draw with a record of group A.

This match soon became a routine victory for the French side, which came through Tabitha Chawinga in the 35th minute of the game.

Lyon generated 2.61 xg of 19 efforts on goal during the game, compared to only 0.82 xg of their hosts after 12 efforts and one on goal.

After the result, Lyon has now saved six clean sheets in their last seven Champions League matches – more than any other team in the competition this season.

They also yielded 21 goals in the competition of this season and have scored so far in all seven of their games.
