The first act by Thomas Tuchel was to tell jokes that Burn for a 'very unprofessional' behavior was spilling his England call-up news, the Newcastle star said.
England's manager appeared on Facetime on Thursday evening at 10 p.m. to tell Burn that he had made his very first English team ever.
Burn, 32 hopes to earn his first cap in the world cup qualifications against Albania and Latvia after a cumbersome route via Asda and Non-League led to his score in Toon's Carabao Cup victory on Sunday.
Tuchel was initially 55 players hungry and told Burn on Tuesday last week that he could still be excluded, giving him a nail biting waiting time.
“I would certainly say that I had worse weeks,” Burn told reporters.
'The Facetimed manager (me) on Tuesday and said they debated whether they would call us and that they had let us know on Thursday.
'It went on Thursday evening at six o'clock and I had not heard anything, so I told my wife:' Nothing is going to happen. '
'Then I got a text message' are you still awake 'at 10 p.m. and I had something like:' Yes, 'immediately.
'I received a Facetime call and it was good news. I have trouble sleeping on Thursday evening.
“First of all, he said that I was very unprofessional because I was in bed for 10 hours!” So I apologized for that!
“Then he said he called everyone who hadn't made the team. He just said he had to end up in a good tone the day.
“He wanted us to be in the team and just said to do what my strengths were, what I had explained when I spoke to him.
“I thought I could offer just as much off the field as me.”
Burn was unable to celebrate Newcastle's Carabao Cup victory in an extravagant way, because his call-up in England meant that he had to be fresh the next morning.
He said: “It was strange. As soon as I left the stadium (on Sunday) my focus switched on this completely.
'I had my family here and the children and we finally came back to the hotel around 12 noon.
'It became a bit noisy and I was just ready to go to sleep!
“There will be time to celebrate.
'I know the club has postponed things that there is a parade (a week) on Saturday, so I think that is when I will celebrate.
“But I waited a long time for this opportunity.
“And didn't want to spoil it.”
