The eyes of Joe Rogan then illuminated his most recent podcast guest told him that he was not familiar with one of the greatest stars of the UFC.
Since he became a combat sport commentator in 1997, the MMA legend has called and mixed with every conceivable UFC star.
Comedian Bert Kreischer, on the other hand, is a relative newcomer in sport, who still learns about fighters and their places in the pecking order.
When it became clear that Kreischer was not familiar with Khmazat Chimaev, Joe Rogan took the opportunity to make some highlights and to let some knowledge about the man who stuck in the teeth of Robert Whittaker on UFC 308 last October.

Joe Rogan introduces Podcast -Gast to Khamzat Chimaev
Rogan has previously been surprised by Rousimar Palhares as one of the scariest hunters in the UFC history – but who is the most frightening competition on the Roster today?
The 57-year-old MMA icon thinks tag was claimed by Chimaev.
“The scariest man in the UFC, or one of the scariest, comes from Chechenia,” Rogan told Kreischer.
“Guy, this guy is finished – … Khamzat Chimaev, he is finished —— Animal. Have you ever seen that guy fight? Take Khamzat Chimaev against Kevin Holland.
“So, Khamzat Chimaev is the number one competition in the middleweight division. He is finished and he is so aggressive, as ruthless aggressive. He is known to get backstage in fighting and he is just an animal.
“In interviews after the fight, he is like: 'I will kill them all! I will kill them all!
“Bro, the amount of f— – intersecting power that you must have to be too Ragdoll's Kevin Holland is insane.”
Joe Rogan's theory about the scariest hunters
In January, Rogan expressed his conviction that really scary fighters all have one thing in common.
The popular podcaster claims that they have been formed by an upbringing that involves physical confrontation.
Whether it is an offensive parent or a mean brother or sister, Rogan insists that many of the really scary MMA hunters he encountered have growing up a difficult time.
“The scariest MMA hunters have older brothers that they always beat,” he said.
“They are ready to throw down all the time … The guys I know the f – scarce they had people they beat when they were young.
“They just get used to the f *** used to going. They are just ready to go. They are not afraid to go, they want to go. They always want to go,” Let's f— – go! ” It is the only way to survive.
“It is better to be difficult or you are not going to make it. There is no pillow to cry in. You have to fight your brother, he is four years older than you, and he could disable you today. He eliminated you last week and laughed at you when you were sitting on your back.”
