’60-40’… Dricus du Plessis vs Khamzat Chimaev predicted by former UFC middleweight title challenger

Yoel Romero leans something to a certain side in the expected Dricus du Plessis vs. Khamzat Chimaev Title fight.

UFC Middleweight Champion Dric Du Plessis, with Sean Strickland firmly in the rearview mirror after UFC 312, will probably be confronted against Khamzat Chimaev for his next defending defense. The unbeaten Chimaev earned the likely subsequent middleweight title shot by Robert Whittaker to submit to UFC 308 in October.

Since making the full -time switch from welterweight to middleweight, Chimaev has not lost a step in this new weight class. He won victories on Kamaru Usman and Whittaker to strengthen himself as the number 1 competition.

But Du Plessis is a unique challenge for which Chimaev is demonstrably not yet stands in his career.

Yoel Romero emphasizes the wrestling of Khamzat Chimaev as a 'Olympic level'

After successful title defenses against Israel Adesanya and Strickland, Du Plessis is hunting for new challenges on 185 pounds. Chimaev would demonstrably be the most difficult test of his middleweight title line due to the elite struggle of the undefeated competition.

A former title Challenger believes that Chimaev's struggling bravery makes him a light favorite against Du Plessis.

During a recent interview with Submission Radio, the former UFC star Yoel Romero gave his opinion about the next middleweight title fight.

“It is very difficult, but 60-40 Chimaev,” said Romero about du Persis vs. Chimaev. “60 percent for Chimaev, 40 percent for du plessis. Wrestling … Struggling for Chimaev at the moment is very, very dangerous. It is Olympic level.”

Romero's wrestling praise, like an Olympic silver medal winner in Freestyle struggling, is particularly remarkable. The former title Challenger fought against a number of the top middle weights in the UFC history during his promotional term of office, and earned victories against people like Luke Rockhold and Chris Weidman.

But Du Plessis has also demonstrated solid struggles during his middleweight title that rules to go with his unorthodox blow. Although Chimaev has dominated his opposition with his wrestling in his previous fighting, the downing of du Plessis may not be the cakewalk that some fans expect.

Dricus Du Plessis lost to 'largest payment day' after UFC 313 results

The next middleweight title defense of Du Plessis will come after the highest fight on his Hitlist against Alex Pereira fell apart after the loss of Pereira at UFC 313. The middleweight champion had a bummed response to missing his 'largest payment day' after the recent defeat of Pereira to Magomed Ankalaev.

Another striking middleweight, Roman Dolidze, feels different from Romero about du Persis vs. Chimaev. Dolidze, who won a big victory at UFC Vegas 104 last weekend, believes that Du Plessis Chimaev could cause some problems in their expected fight.

The winner of Du Plessis vs. Chimaev could possibly be confronted with UFC Welterweight Champion Belal Muhammad for their next fight after the recent pests of Muhammad. Muhammad will be confronted against Jack della Maddalena on UFC 315 before a potential move to middleweight.

Du Plessis recently explained a potential game plan for fighting Chimaev this year and is extremely confidence in handing Chimaev's first defeat of the career. He wanted the International Fight Week card of the UFC in June in Las Vegas Hoplekken.

An announcement regarding du Persis vs. Chimaev seems threatening, and we can be about to be one of the largest middleweight battles of all time in the history of UFC.
