The exact transfer costs – including the costs of agents – who will pay Chelsea to sign Geovany Quenda and Dario Essugo has been revealed.
The sale of Club Sporting Lisbon announced the deals in a statement that also described how much the costs would come.
This was a very different step towards the way in which deals are usually announced with clubs that often call the reimbursement “unknown”.
The Portuguese giants revealed that the double deal was worth a little less than £ 62.4 million (€ 74.5 million).
Broke out for the two players, Chelsea has paid more than double the reimbursement for Quenda than Essugo.
The 17-year-old, one of Europe's most sought after talents and previously connected to reunification with Ruben Amorim at Manchester United, was reported last week as a shock movement.
Chelsea pays £ 42.6 million for the winger in advance, with a further £ 1.1 million in potential add -ons.
However, the blues will not see their new star in action until at least 2026 after an agreement was beaten to let the teenager loan in Lisbon.
In the meantime, the deal for Essugo, currently on loan at Las Palmas, has paid Chelsea a flat £ 18.7 million (€ 22.27 million).
The defensive midfielder remains on loan in Spain before being connected to Chelsea in the summer.
That means that he could make his debut for the club during the inaugural club World Cup.
The statement also added reimbursements for intermediation services in the deals were worth £ 3.7 million for the couple – £ 2.8 million (€ 3.35 million) for Quenda and £ 838,000 (€ 999,700).
