Sir Alex Ferguson will, according to one of his former players, return a surprise to the Dugout.
Ferguson won 38 trophies in 26 years at Old Trafford before retired as club legends in 2013.
He received a multi-million pound ambassador at the club, but was stripped of it by the new part of Club's Ineos, as part of a broad cost-saving program.
Fans have become used to seeing the 83-year-old watching games of Plush Seats in the stands, but he will take the manager's seat on Saturday again.
Former United Striker Giuseppe Rossi is organizing a farewell match in the Stadio Franchi in Florence on 22 March.
Rossi hung up his boots in 2023 and will now celebrate his career with a friendly Luca Toni, Antonio Cassano, Sebastien Frey, Borja Valero and Gabriel Omar Batistuta.
And Rossi has revealed that Ferguson will coach one of the parties on a day that has been labeled 'Pepito Day'.
Rossi deserved the nickname 'Pepito Rossi' during his time in Laliga with Villarreal, a reference to namesake Paolo Rossi.
Rossi said: 'Ferguson will be there as a coach. He was my first coach, I drew when I was 17.
'I only did with him for three years and played little, but he immediately said yes and this shows what kind of person he is.
“I didn't do much at United, but he treats me as Cristiano Ronaldo, who scored 1000 goals.”
Ferguson has returned to the Dugout at the strange opportunity since he called it a day, with games such as United's Treble Reunion in 2019 and the testimony of Michael Carrick.
Rossi started his professional career at United and came to the club at the age of 17.
He failed to have a lot of impact, only 14 performances in three seasons and scored four goals.
The attacker has much more success in Spain and scored 82 goals in 192 games for Villarreal.
