Real Madrid heading for third Champions League defeat as Liverpool go 2-0 up
Real Madrid is heading for its third defeat in five league matches in this season's Champions League. With just under 15 minutes to go at Anfield, Carlo Ancelotti's side lost 2-0 to Premier League leaders Liverpool.
It was Alexis Mac Allister who opened the scoring for the hosts shortly after the start of the second half. On the hour mark, Kylian Mbappe missed a penalty for Real Madrid, and was followed just ten minutes later by Liverpool's Mohamed Salah.
Ultimately, it is Mbappe who will have to pay more for his miss as Liverpool have now doubled their lead thanks to Cody Gakpo.
