Robertson reveals what they think of Carragher after he labelled Salah ‘selfish’

Andy Robertson has revealed what the Liverpool dressing room thinks of Jamie Carragher following the club legend's recent comments about Mohamed Salah.

The Egyptian's contract expires at the end of this season and he claimed there are no new offers on the table from Liverpool chiefs.

The 32-year-old forward gave a rare interview with Mail Sport and a small group of other reporters after scoring twice in the 3-2 win over Southampton, where he said he was 'more out than in' and criticized the club .

It was an act that drew criticism from the likes of former Liverpool defender Carragher, who called the Egyptian 'selfish' for his comments on Monday Night Football.

Now Liverpool defender Robertson has revealed what the Liverpool squad think of Carragher after his comments.

In an interview with CBS Sports, Robertson said: “He is [Carragher] I've had a bit of trouble in the dressing room this week, that's for sure!'

Carragher was on punditry duty on CBS Sports on Wednesday evening and laughed along in the studio as Robertson revealed the news.

Earlier this week, Carragher had said: “Of course there have been discussions. At the moment there is clearly a big difference in valuation, how Salah and his agent value themselves, in terms of contract length, and how Liverpool do.

'The reason Liverpool haven't offered a contract yet is because Mo Salah will reject it. They are still talking, I would like them to meet halfway.

'But I have to say that I am very disappointed in Mo Salah. That interview last night… Liverpool have Real Madrid during the week and Manchester City next weekend. That's the story for Liverpool at the moment.

“And Mo Salah, we are aware – especially the local reporters at the club – that he has been put in the mixed zone twice in seven years. That's absolutely fine.

'But he retires for the third time at Southampton because he won Liverpool the game and played it out.

“If he continues to comment or his agent continues to spread cryptic tweets, that is selfish. That is thinking about oneself and not about the football club.'
