Mohamed Salah’s net worth, childhood sweetheart wife, house that ‘looks like a hospital’
There are few players in world football who can compliment Liverpool striker Mohamed Salah.
The Egyptian king of the Merseysiders has been in excellent form this season, scoring at will and winning games almost single-handedly. Salah, 32, secured a crucial win for Arne Slot's side during their 3-2 win over Southampton as they built an eight-point lead over second-placed Manchester City.
The only thing Salah is currently missing is a new contract to keep him at Anfield for many more years to come. The ex-Chelsea striker recently claimed he has heard little from the club regarding a potential new deal.
As Salah continues to push Liverpool forward, here's everything you need to know about the iconic star.
Mohamed Salah net worth
According to Celebrity Net Worth, Salah is currently said to be worth around £71.19 million. It is currently believed he earns around £350,000 a week at Anfield, which equates to around £18 million over the course of a year.
In another study published by Harvard Business School, Rammy Abbas Issa, the Egyptian's long-term adviser and friend, claimed that if image rights and commercial activities were also taken into account, Salah could earn around £1 million every week.
When all of the above is taken into account, it is believed that Salah would earn between £46.8 million and £53.7 million per year.
Childhood love woman
Salah's wife Magi has been by his side every step of his football journey. The couple have been together all their lives and grew up in the same Egyptian village.
They also attended Mohamed Eyad Al-Tantawi School. During Ramadan, they regularly return to their homeland so he can share his wealth with members of his community.
The couple married in 2013, just before Salah moved to Chelsea from Basel, Switzerland. The couple has two daughters Makka and Kayan. Moreover, she is also believed to have attended Alexandria University, where she graduated with a hard-earned degree in biotechnology.
As evidenced by his sculpted body, which he was more than happy to show off after scoring the winning goal against Southampton, Salah has dedicated everything to his football career. Despite being 32 and possibly entering the final years of his career, Salah has the fitness, speed and physique of people several years younger than him.
To achieve this level of fitness, Salah has had to sacrifice the aesthetics of some parts of his home. In an interview with France Football, Salah talked about the parts of his home he has dedicated to his personal fitness.
He said: “Two rooms in our house are dedicated to various fitness equipment, bodybuilding. At home I can also do cryotherapy, there is a hyperbaric chamber. I am constantly looking to improve my physical condition. It is true that I like say my house looks like a hospital, [but] my wife doesn't like that! [She] says I spend more time with my machines than with her!”
