Manchester City is the last of the Nouveau Riche who show a serious interest in the emerging talents coming from Latin -America, as they have proven in January. A combined € 55.5 million spend on teenage duo Claudio Echeverri from River Plate and Vior Reis from Palmeiras.
The first can be on its way to La Liga this summer, according to reports from Argentina. Veronica Brunati has explained that the 19-year-old, who still has to be integrated into the MatchDay team by Pep Guardiola will probably be on loan at Girona. The Catalan side, which is also owned by the city group, will use their links and Echeverri will go to Montilivi after completing the pre -season with Manchester City.
That is if it is not used as part of another deal. GDS, in a report from Football Italia, has explained that City has shown interest in Center-back Mario Gila from Lazio. The ex-real Madrid-Man recently earned his first Spain call-up, although he did not make his debut and is a target for the current Premier League champions. Echeverri can be used as a negotiating ship in a deal with Lazio for Gila, although it is not clear whether the Eagles are interested in the Argentinian.
Echeverri, 19, was arrested by Manchester City more than a year ago, with an impression on ASA 17-year-old who broke into the first team of the river plate. Left-foot and technically gifted, Echeverri was also viewed by Real Madrid and Barcelona before City moved for him and the right or from behind rush hour.
Girona manager Michel Sanchez would undoubtedly enjoy the chance to work with him and often get the best out of similar players. That said, he currently has Sterman Viktor Tsygankov and registers the signing of Yaser Asprilla in that position, although there is no guarantee, there will also be next season.
