“He doesn’t look happy at Real Madrid” Ex-Türkiye coach shows concern for Guler

Since joining Real Madrid in the summer of 2023, Arda Guler has struggled hard for fame. He made just 12 appearances last season (although he only played in January due to injury), and he is on that number for the current season despite only making three starts.

As a result, Guler looked a little rusty in Türkiye's goalless draw against Wales on Saturday, and according to former national team coach Mustafa Denizli, that's not too surprising (via Sport).

“Arda has shown immaturity in his actions. It is normal because he is not in the same condition as when he went to Real Madrid. He doesn't look happy there. We know he has had limited minutes and opportunities, but his rivals in the dressing room have improved their performances.”

Real Madrid remain confident in Guler, even if he is not a crucial part of Carlo Ancelotti's thinking. However, they may have to consider sending him out on loan to avoid further hampering his development.
