RMD team coach crashes on motorway after Spanish giants defeat by Liverpool

Real Madrid's team coach has been involved in a motorway accident following the club's defeat to Liverpool in the Champions League.

The accident occurred as the bus was traveling southbound on the M40.

Images emerged on social media of a stationary coach after an apparent collision with a truck.

One driver told the Mail: 'It probably happened five minutes before I got there. I almost crashed into the car in front of me because everyone suddenly stopped.

'I couldn't say if anyone from the team was in the coach, but it was definitely the Real Madrid brand, with all the logos. It was unmistakable.

'The coach was on the hard shoulder. It was really badly damaged at the front, causing it to end up in the back of a white truck.

'I don't think this was the kind of crash that would have seriously injured anyone, but I imagine the people on board would have suffered some nasty whiplash.

'There were a few people there but when I walked past I didn't see any players or anyone in tracksuits.'

Warwickshire Police confirmed they had received an accident report, but no further information at this time.
