Daniel Cormier says that Conor McGregor will fail in politics because nobody likes him
The popularity of McGregor may not be as strong as he thinks it is in his home country, according to Cormier.
The UFC legend doubts the people in Ireland, even more from McGregor. On good guy/bad guy, he theoretized that McGregor simply will not have the support of becoming president in his home country.
Cormier said: “The Conor McGregor of 2015, 2016 and 2017, the one who went eight rounds with Floyd Mayweather, that Conor McGregor was in a hurry. A hurry to greatness.
“And if that is gone, it's over. That's a wrap, man. But to be a politician? He wants to become a politician? I think people in Ireland don't even like him. Everyone I speak to is like: 'They can't stand this guy. '
“But I think he feels that he has enough support to go to politics.”
McGregor wants to fight while he serves as a president and becomes the only president fighting in the Octagon while he is in office.
Michael Chandler still wants to fight against McGregor despite their canceled fight
Despite the fact that McGregor retires himself from his fight with Chandler and teases, the American hunter still wants to get hold of the Irishman.
Chandler plans to call McGregor after his fight with Paddy Pimblitt on UFC 314. This is probably conditional for him to beat his younger opponent, but “Iron Mike” seems determined to get his match with the former UFC champion.
Michael Chandler said he intends to call up Conor McGregor at UFC 314
“I'm going to do my job on April 12 and I will call Conor again. I am also enjoyed it, whatever happens, I want to see him a man of his word. When he comes back this year, I fight him.” pic.twitter.com/5hmrgsr5g

He still has two fights on his contract, of which you would expect to be against Chandler. However, McGregor seems satisfied with what he has done so far and could run away from the UFC forever.
The loss of an enormous personality would be something that Dana White wants to avoid, but if McGregor's head is changed by politics, the UFC may not be the best place for him.
