Real Madrid's starting XI for the first stage of their quarterfinals against Arsenal was published by Spanish media, with Carlo Ancelotti making a surprise call in the defense
David Alaba will start in the first stage of their Champions League Quarte Final against Arsenal on the Emirates on the Emirates, with left back for Real Madrid, with Carlo Ancelotti's starting XI supposedly leaked by Spanish media.
Austrian Alaba started only four games this season after he returned from a cruciate ligament in January. He also missed four games in February because of a thigh injury with all his performances in the middle of half.
But according to Cope, Ancelotti plans to use Alaba to the left of his back four against the Gunners with Raul Asencio that Toni Rudiger cooperates in the heart of the defense. Goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois is also set up to return, with the most striking absent France midfield player Aurelien Tchouameni.
Courtois said on Monday evening: “We have a lot of respect for Arsenal and I have a lot of Arsenal friends, so I know they have done great and won close to winning a Premier League. They play well with a young team and experienced players.
“They defend well, can defend on a low block in a low block and quickly on the counterattack. They can easily score, are dangerous in set pieces, but we have prepared well and have analyzed their game and where we can hurt them and hopefully they will not hurt us.
“Arsenal is doing great and it is a matter of time that they win another trophy, although we can hopefully pass them in the Champions League.”

Bukayo Saka will make his first start since he injured a hamstring in December. The star of England has appeared replacement against Fulham and Everton last week.
And asked about the condition of Saka after two replacement performances since his comeback, Arteta said: “He is in a much better place.
“We gradually built his minutes in the past six or seven days. He handled that very well and he is in a good place to be used.”
