Joan Laporta, president of Barcelona, has last week's promise to respond to La Liga's public statement about their salary limit, where the Blaugrana released a powerful explanation about their behavior. The consequences may not end there either.
With the two institutions fighting about the registration of Dani Olmo and Pau Victor, which La Liga appealed yesterday, Barcelona radiated a statement in which he announced that they would take a step back from the Delegate Commission of La Liga. They 'required' La Liga to stop public communication about the club's finances and accused the League of inciting a campaign of wrong information against Barcelona. In their statement they also mention the violation of a confidentiality clause in the lines of La Liga.
Now President of Cenafe (Center for the Education of Coaches) has published Miguel Angel Galan on his social media account that as a result of Barcelona is considering submitting the suspension of La Liga President Javier Tebas. The Administrative Tribunal for Sport has already given Tebas a fine for an earlier violation after a case was established by Real Madrid.
Galan continues to say that because it was a second violation against the Sports Act, this could lead to the suspension of Tebas from the office if Barcelona would submit a motion against him. He also assumes that in earlier cases it resulted in the dismissing of the former Royal Spanish football federation (RFEF) President Angel Maria Villar, the suspension of ex-RFF president Luis Rubiales, and ex-interim president Pedro Rocha of the same organization, at Galan's hand.
Whether Barcelona decides to go completely against Tebas is another matter. Despite frequent fighting about their salary limit in recent years, the relations between Laporta and Tebas are said to be good, with every understanding that the couple should defend their position publicly. If they do this, Barcelona would undoubtedly take into account who the successor of Tebas is likely to be and what that could mean for their relationships with La Liga in the future.
