Due to the main event of UFC 314, Alexander Volkanovski will compete against Diego Lopes, with the empty UFC -Fedweight title on the line.
The battle puts two top candidates in the featherweight division against each other in a collision with high deployment in Miami.
Alexander Volkanovski is considered one of the best featherweight hunters who have ever been seen in the UFC, while Diego Lopes is one of the best hunters in the division and a potential world champion.
The couple will clash for the UFC -Fedweight Championship at UFC 314, despite the fact that neither fighter has defeated the last man to hold the title, Ilia Topuria.

Ilia Topuria has left the UFC -Fedweight title because of a promised fight with Islam Makhachev
Topuria recently left the UFC Featherweight Championship while he wants to increase a weight class for a dream fight for UFC fans.
“La Leyenda” has conquered the featherweight division as champions and remains unbeaten during his rise of the division.
Topuria teased a fight with Islam Makhachev after leaving the title. He explained at the WOW 17 event in Madrid that he left the belt because he was promised a title shot against the champion.
“The UFC promised me that I would fight for the belt. That's why I left it. And they have always kept their promise.”
Topuria defeated Volkanovski, Max Holloway and other top star weight stars while dominating the division, with a record of 16 wins and 0 losing so far.
A fight with UFC Lightweight Makhachev champion will be a huge challenge for the undefeated hunter, but the extremely confident Topuria believes that he can reach the step.

Other fighters, such as Conor McGregor, have moved to lightweight while staying like the featherweight champion.
Topuria, however, did not want to stand in the way of the opportunities of other hunters in the weight class of 145 pounds and decided to leave the title itself.
According to Dana White, this was at the UFC Seattle Post-Fight Press Conference when he was asked why Topuria left the UFC Feather Wegiton.
Dana White said, “No, he did. He said,” I did everything I can do here. I am ready to go up. ” And he left it.
“He said,” I shouldn't stop someone's chances. ” And you know, it is always … I respect that.
Due to the selflessness of Topuria, the UFC 314 -head event between Volkanovski and Lopes will be for the vacant UFC -Fedweight title.
