Paddy Pimblett is now one of the biggest stars in the UFC and demonstrably only two fights away from a title – but he used to have some interesting enemies.
Everyone knows their long -term rivalry with champion Vederweight Ilia Topuria, but Pimblett has been a hassle for many hunters over the years. A feud that came up online over the years was with Dillon Danis, the famous Jiu-Jitsu Black Belt and former Bellator Fighter.
It is common for Danis to call up -to -date UFC hunters and to insist that he can beat them, even though he spent years out of MMA. But it is rare that someone reacts at the level of Pimblett and even offers a fight if the American would reach the Octagon.
Dillon Danis called Paddy Pimblett for resentment fight
Already in December 2022 Dillon Danis called for a fight with Paddy Pimblett. After viewing the Scouser's Razor-Close decision, victory over Jared Gordon, whom he called a theft, the American stated that he would defeat his rival within two minutes.
“If I finish Paddy Pimblett in less than 2 minutes, I am retired and remove all social media forever and give everyone who each likes this 1K,” wrote Danis in an aggressive tweet, who only delivered a response a year later.
After his Farcical Miskits -boxing competition with Logan Paul in October 2023, Danis was eventually released from his Bellator deal. And he immediately called on Pimblett and insisted that the couple would give an important show on pay-per-view.
“My UFC debut against Paddy Pimblett would be quite the show,” Danis wrote to more than 2.7 million viewers on November 9, 2023. “The structure would only be electric!
“And if we want to add some fun, we can be coaches on the ultimate hunter and have our fight. Imagine the entertainment for that would generate that. Let's give people what they want and make it again!”
Pimblett responded to a press conference that looked like the idea and told the media: “If he is signed, let's do it. He fought Logan Paul and threw about six punches, he threw more bumps than he at Logan Paul.”
Paddy Pimblett eventually went on to Conor McGregor
In the end, Pimblett and Danis never fought, and another competition that came up as a possibility was Conor McGregor. He now includes Michael Chandler at UFC 314 in a struggle of two men who are considered potential opponents for the mythical McGregor Comeback fight.
Although it seems as if the Irish may never return, the door is open for a fight with Pimblett, where the British round eight boxing tells that the fight 'sounds very good.
“Many people have already said this to me,” beat Chandler, take the McGregor fight, “he explained. “It is clear that it is the biggest fight in sport, the biggest fight we have ever seen.”
