Real Madrid to seek suspension of La Liga President Tebas after filing complaint

Real Madrid has made a movement that is likely to be considered an attempt to remove La Liga President Javier Tebas from the power, at least temporarily. Los Blancos has filed a complaint about Tebas for violating confidentiality.

The story started last week after La Liga published a statement about the reduction of their salary limit by Barcelona. The Blaugrana complained in their own explanation that La Liga had violated their confidentiality by doing this, which was followed by a withdrawal of La Liga's statement 'to avoid formal procedures'.

In the aftermath, however, head of Cenafe and former president of the High Sports Committee, Miguel Angel Galan had noticed that if Barcelona wanted it, they had a 90-95% chance of suspending the La Liga president to file a complaint about his behavior. This is after Tebas had already been fined for an earlier case that was filed by Real Madrid. Until now, the Blaugrana have refused to move, but Tebas could be found for the second time in violation of the regulations, it could have serious consequences for Tebas.

According to SER, and worn by Diario ALS, Real Madrid has now filed a complaint with the CSD, and they in turn have increased the case to the Administrative Tribunal for Sport (TAD) with regard to a tweet from Tebas in February. They claim that Tebas has violated confidentiality because of a tweet in which he reveals the position of Real Madrid during an anonymous investigation among clubs that were conducted in 2023. They accuse Tebas of discriminatory behavior.

If Tebas were found in infringement, he would receive one of the following penalties: a fine of € 3k € 30k, public admonshimes, a suspension of two to 15 years and/or dismissal. It will now amount to the decision of the TAD to decide how to proceed. It will be seen as the last strike in a constant war between La Liga and Real Madrid, while President Florentino Perez is looking for a Superleague and Tebas Rails against it.

Translation of the tweet from Tebas.

I was not surprised at all by the letter from Real Madrid, because it says nothing but what their television network has been repeating for a while.

Many of us argue for a radical change in the arbitration system, which come closer to the English or German model, with a completely different organization and much greater transparency in all structural decisions of the Spanish arbitration.

What is really striking is that during a LaLiga meeting we debated on April 19, 2023 and even voted on this change, and Real Madrid opposed it, lukewarm lukewarm and offering no solutions. Could it have something to do with the fact that Rubiales was the president of the RFEF at the time and Florentino Perez was a member of the RFEF Council of Directors?

And be careful, the “Negreira” case was already in court and Real Madrid lasted weeks to appear. Why?

By the way, when it comes to 'corrupt systems', there is little to learn. And I don't refer to Real Madrid as an institution.
