Family of ex-Barça president candidate dies in NY helicopter crash tragedy

Five people fell tragically in New York City on Thursday afternoon, after a helicopter collapsed the Hudson River and left no survivors. The family has been identified as family members of the former president of Barcelona Agusti Montal.

The incident took place on Thursday afternoon, when a family of five made a helicopter tour around the sights of New York. According to CNN, the helicopter crashed in the Hudson River, with all five family members who turn. Pilot Richard Vance was able to free himself from his armor and escape from the wreck. Although the cause of the crash is not yet clear, they note that this is the third crash that took place at Liberty Helicopters, who describe themselves as the largest and most experienced fleet in New York.

According to Marca, the family has been identified as Agustin Escobar and Merce Camprubi, and their three children between seven and eleven years old.

Escobar was the former CEO of Siemens Espana until 2024, while Camprubi was the granddaughter of the aforementioned Montal, who provided Barcelona between 1969 and 1977. Merce Camprubi was also the sister of Joan Camprubi, who leads the platform 'Som un Clam' and Potento -in -position against the established joositie.
