Jean Silva rages on the scale as he misses weight at first time of asking for Bryce Mitchell fight at UFC 314

Jean Silva was not happy with circumstances when he came over weight in a pound for his fight with Bryce Mitchell at the first time of asking.

The Brazilian featherweight candidate was the last hunter to give the scales in Miami this morning before UFC 314. He was not the only one who missed weight, but was the highest profile and needed an hour to cut the extra pound, which he successfully did.

While he was on the scales, Silva shouted at someone in the front row in Portuguese. He then posed for a photo, but seemed to confirm that he would come back for a new attempt to arrive for the fight.

Jean Silva misses weight for UFC 314 Fight with Bryce Mitchell

As the last man who reached the scales, Jean Silva came in this morning like a man on a mission when he went up the scales. He needed the towel to enable him to step naked on the scale and seemed to shout against someone in the front row with an aggressive message.

“It's not over yet,” he said he said. “I'm going back and make weight. Bryce Mitchell, I'm going to disable you.”

After he briefly calmed down, Silva arrived at 147 pounds, which means that he was a pound above the long -term 146 pound limit for featherweights. Bryce Mitchell appeared very quickly earlier in the morning to give the scales at 146LB.

Silva was successful when he got an extra hour to make the weight by the committee and his fight with Mitchell is now official. If he had not weighed up questions on the second time, he would have had a large percentage of his bag to his rival.

Silva was not the only hunter who miss the weight, with Nora Cornolle in 2 pounds above the Bantamweight limit at 138LB. The French star will compete against Hailey Cowan, but will have to give up part of her bag for their fight, which was moved a month in advance from the start date.

He later mocked Silva's barking efforts and told the Brazilian: 'I put many dogs in my time. Those dogs who like to come to the farm. They kill my animals. They come and harm me and my family and come barking. ” Do you know what they all have in common? They squeak just before they die. '
