Michael Bisping praises Brendan Loughane for his fighting heart

On a night where he once again proved his will to win in spades, covered in blood, Brendan Loughnane fought on to the bitter end, trading blows with a ruthless Timur Khizriev.

And while he didn't do enough to climb the PFL mountain for a second time, his valiant effort impressed the greatest English fighter of all time.

Although Michael Bisping did not attend the match live, the action was brought to life through an article he read, which depicted the courage shown by Loughnane.

So, shortly after the fight ended, he contacted his fellow former champion to show him some support.

Bisping tweeted: “Yes, I just read an article and had a text conversation with him. Even though it wasn't his night, he has a lot to be proud of. Most people who start an MMA career don't accomplish anything, if we're being honest.

“Let alone become a champion of a major organization and win life-changing money. I am proud to call him a friend. And as a Brit, I am proud of the way he represented our country. Big respect, @BrendanMMA.”
