Mohamed Salah has put an end to speculation about his future by signing a new two -year -old deal with Liverpool, and Virgil van Dijk's new contract will also be announced in the coming days
Liverpool agrees with the fourth member of their team who no longer had a contract at the end of this season, with goalkeeper Vitezslav Jaros ready to continue his career at Anfield.
The existing Jaros deal went at the end of the current campaign, but now the Czech stop will extend its time on Merseyside according to reports in his home country.
The 23-year-old has previously had Leen Proverbs at St Patrick's Athletic in Ireland, Notts County, Stockport County and Austrian side Sturm Graz, with whom he won the competition and cup double last season.
He was thrown in this season for his debut in Liverpool and came up as a 79th minute replacement for Alisson in the 1-0 win in Crystal Palace in October, when Caoimhin Kelleher was sick.
Jaros made a late rescue from Ebereechi Eze to retain the three points of Liverpool, and Slot used the example of the Czech International – who was in the team of his country for Euro 2024 – as a symbol for everyone who played their role for the soon at the top of Premier League Champions.
Speaking after the Nervy 2-1 victory over Wolves in February, Slot said: “I think it's [being described as nervy] Because we come at the end of the season, and not because of us, but because of what people make it.
“We played more games from home where we won with one goal. I remember Palace when Jaros had to make a big salvation. We didn't need the big salvation against wolves, but people talk about nerves.”
Jaros made his first and so far for Liverpool in the 3-2 Carabao Cup victory on Brighton in October, when he made a stunning rescue from Simon Adingra.
He has effectively become the third member of the Liverpool team to complete his future in recent days, with Mohamed Salah sealing his new contract last Friday and the new Virgil van Dijk deal announced this week. From Trent Alexander-Arnold is still generally expected to join Real Madrid on a free transfer.
The goalkeeper's department of Liverpool is planned for a commotion this summer with the arrival of Georgia no.1 Giorgi Mhaldashvili, who signed and was returned at the start of the season from Valencia, and the potential departure of Kelleher for more playing time elsewhere.
It is still to be seen whether or not Jaros remains as a third, or possibly second, choice next season, or whether another loan movement has been agreed for him.
