Manchester United is planned for a big overhaul this summer, with Ruben Amorim who has given a lot of money to spend on the transfer market to renovate the team
Manchester United has been encouraged to sign Ipswich -striker Liam Delap and two midfielders this summer, while Ruben Amorim is looking for his team. United has passed a sad campaign so far, with the club 14th in the Premier League.
United Chief Executive Omar Berrada, however, stated last month that Club is ready to support Amorim in the summer transfer window and Mirror Football understands that they hope to increase around £ 200 million by selling players and saving up to £ 80 million a year on wages.
And former United defender Paul Parker, who won two league titles during his time at Old Trafford, believes that money should be spent on three players who will help get the best out of club captain Bruno Fernandes.
Parker said via the house of UFC bet: “I think you should look at replacing at least two players in midfield. I think you need more energy there and I like it [Manuel] Ugarte and what he does, and I think he will be even more effective with more energy and legs around him.
“I don't think Casemiro and [Christian] Eriksen are currently the right players for United. Casemiro will play on Thursday, but he will be slaughtered when United loses because people say his legs have disappeared, but he never had legs and was just very smart in how he played.
“He is good to watch, but you need two midfield players, more legs of two attacking midfield players. Almost what Bruno plays when United is haunting, he is not that ideal person because of his discipline problems when he has the ball.”
United is also strongly connected to a movement for Delap from Ipswich, which this season has scored 12 league goals in one side that seems to be degraded. Delap reportedly has a release clause of £ 30 million when Ipswich goes down and Parker believes that he would be an excellent addition.
“I would look at a hungry center, and I would take Liam Delap all day,” Parker added. “You would take him all day long. I love his work ethics, the fact that he was never beaten, he is desperate to prove himself and he is desperate to score goals.
“He wants to run past people, make selfless runs and turn the bad into the good – he reminds me of a young Mark Hughes, and not afraid to post himself; everything Mark Hughes trademark Mark Hughes.”
United, however, seems to be confronted with strong competition for Delap's services, with people like Chelsea, Arsenal, Liverpool and Newcastle all credited with an interest in the 22-year-old.
Ipswich Baas Kieran McKenna was recently questioned about the future of Delap and claimed that it is “certainly a possibility” that the club could keep him in the championship. “It is not something that is discussed internally, because everyone's focus, frankly, on Bournemouth, on Wolves, is now on Chelsea,” said McKenna.
“But if you ask me, is that a possibility? I think it's certainly a possibility. Liam is a young striker. He really develops, really good in the football club. He is happy and he improves every week and we like to enjoy him.
“I am sure there are many different possibilities. But Liam is an Ipswich player. He likes to be an Ipswich player and that is where his full focus is.”
