Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi can be part of the same team for the first time if a shock plan has arisen.
Ronaldo, 40 and Messi, 37 are generally considered the two biggest football players of all time and have a total of 13 Ballon d'Or Kronen between them – Ronaldo has five while Messi has eight.
And during their trophy-loaded career, no players were compared as often as the duo, especially when Messi played for Barcelona and Ronaldo for Real Madrid before the Portuguese left for Juventus in 2018.
In competitive matches, Messi leads the head-to-head record with 16 wins to Ronaldo's 11, while there has also been nine draw.
During matches in which both players have played, Messi scored 22 times while Ronaldo scored one less with 21 goals.
The couple played against each other for the last time on January 19, 2023, during a match between Riyad All Stars and PSG.
Messi almost clearly scored while Ronaldo yielded a brace in a 5-4 victory for the Ligue 1-side.
Most fans thought this was the last time that the couple came across, given that Messi is now playing in the MLS for Inter Miami and Ronaldo represents Al-Nassr in Saudi Arabia.
However, they can be set to reunite and can even be part of the same team if a stunning plan has arisen.
As reported by ESPN, the iconic duo could participate in the farewell game of Carlo Tevez in Buenos Aires, Argentina.
“Yes, I'm going to do it [farewell game]”Tevez told Olga.
“I will probably do it. We just have to find out when. It is not easy.”

“Leo Messi, Cristiano … we're going to bring them,” he added. “I'm going to get them myself. I saved them in my WhatsApp.”
He also mentioned several of his former teammates from Manchester United and Juventus when he explained who could appear differently.
“(Edwin) van der Sar on one side and (Gianluigi) Buffon on the other,” Tevez continued.
“In the middle of the back we will probably have Rio Ferdinand, (Nemanja) Vidic … we bring (Giorgio) Chiellini, (Leonardo) Bonucci. Patrice Evra, my brother, he must be there. Midvelders … (Andrea) Pirlo, Paul, Romany will be sure.”
Of course Tevez, who retired in 2022, played in 2022, next to Ronaldo in Manchester United, while he shared a dressing room with Messi for the national team of Argentina.

Given that he is one of the few football players who played with both players, who thinks Tevez that is best?
He gave his thoughts in 2018.
“Cristiano is completely different from Messi,” Tevez told ESPN Argentina.
“When Leo started, he didn't touch a gym. But Cristiano was there in the morning, afternoon and evening, always.
